Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Contract Manager to oversee the management, negotiation, and compliance of contracts within our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will ensure that all contracts align with company goals, protect legal and financial interests, and comply with applicable laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
•Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including supplier agreements, service contracts, licensing agreements, and NDAs.
•Collaborate with internal teams (procurement, engineering, legal, finance, operations) to define contractual requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
•Manage the entire contract lifecycle: initiation, negotiation, approval, execution, performance monitoring, and closeout.
•Develop and maintain a centralized contract repository; track contract obligations, renewals, milestones, and compliance deadlines.
•Mitigate contractual risks by identifying key risk areas and developing risk mitigation strategies.
•Monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with terms and conditions, and address any deviations or disputes in a timely manner.
•Stay updated on changes in laws, regulations, and best practices affecting manufacturing contracts.
•Support audits, regulatory compliance reviews, and internal reporting related to contractual commitments.
•Train and advise internal stakeholders on contract management processes and standards.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Supply Chain Management, or related field (JD or Paralegal certification a plus).
•Minimum of 5 years of contract management experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
•Strong understanding of commercial and legal terms commonly found in vendor and supplier agreements.
•Proven experience in contract negotiation, risk assessment, and compliance monitoring.
•Proficiency with contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
•Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
•Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
•Familiarity with ISO standards, lean manufacturing practices, and quality systems.
•Experience working with international suppliers and global contracts.
•Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) as they relate to procurement and contracting.
