Basic Function
As a member of the Supply Chain team, the Sr. Contracts Manager will play a crucial role in developing, drafting, negotiating, and executing contracts for our renewable energy projects. The Sr. Contracts Manager will be able to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. They should possess excellent organizational skills, be capable of managing multiple contracts simultaneously, demonstrate excellent follow-through skills, and have the ability to meet strict deadlines.
Responsibilities•Manage the end-to-end process of Request for Proposal (RFP) development, evaluation, and selection for renewable energy projects.
•Negotiate and draft construction contracts that adhere to project requirements, legal guidelines, and industry standards.
•Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including development, project management, engineering, interconnection, capital markets and power marketing teams, to identify and address contractual risks and opportunities.
•Effectively communicate with senior executives both internally and externally.
•Conduct thorough analysis and review of contractual terms, including insurance, warranties, indemnities, and performance guarantees.
•Coordinate with the project management, consultants, and legal advisors to ensure compliance with project specifications, regulatory requirements, and local laws.
•Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to renewable energy projects.
•Identify areas for process improvement and implement efficient contract management strategies.
•Provide regular updates on the status of contracts to the project teams and management.
•Maintain well-documented files to accurately track contract templates, approvals, executed contracts, and pending contracts.
•Interpret existing contracts and provide guidance to the project management and operations teams on contractual and interpretation issues.
•Demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making skills, even in ambiguous situations.
Qualifications/Requirements
•Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or JD is a plus.
•10+ years of professional working experience.
•Proven experience (preferably 5+ years) as a Construction Contracts Manager, with specific expertise in renewable energy sectors.
•Data center experience a plus
•In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, contract negotiation, and project management principles.
•Familiarity with renewable energy technologies, including solar, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and wind.
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess contractual risks and propose effective mitigation strategies.
•Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
•Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
•Proficient in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
•Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and standards.

The position could require up to 20% domestic travel.
Base Pay - $150,000 - $170,000
