Job Summary
Tenaska Marketing Ventures (TMV) is seeking an organized and dedicated part-time Contract Compliance Specialist to join our growing team. The Contract Compliance Specialist will act as primary support for the staff of the Contract Compliance department. The Contract Compliance Specialist ensures accuracy and compliance within the Gas Management System by processing manual confirmations, scanning and archiving documents, and maintaining contract-related data. The role involves verifying counterparty and broker confirmations, resolving discrepancies, and managing contract event reminders. The specialist also audits electronic files, supports file organization, and assists with document retrieval, while meeting company deadlines for trade verification and issue resolution.
Location: Onsite in Omaha, NE
Schedule: Monday – Friday | Part-Time Hours
Essential Job Functions
•Create and process manual confirmations in a timely manner.
•Scan paper documents into electronic files and process into document archive system.
•Audit electronic files to ensure accuracy and compliance.
•Maintain data in the Gas Management System including company name changes, address changes, assignments, mergers, phone/fax changes, authorized trader notices, etc.
•Create and manage contract event reminders.
•Verify incoming counterparty and broker confirmations for accuracy against the Gas Management System, investigating and resolving discrepancies with traders and counterparties.
•Review returned confirmations from counterparties, investigate discrepancies, and ensure resolution.
•Adhere to company deadlines for trade verification and issue resolution.
•Manage contract, accounting, and confirmation files while assisting users in locating physical and electronic records.
•Other duties as assigned
Basic Requirements
•College degree or equivalent job experience is required.
•Dependable, reliable, and predictable attendance is required.
Preferred Requirements
•Gas industry experience preferred, not required.
•Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Outlook.
•Demonstrated ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
•Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
•Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities.
•High personal standards for performance and integrity.
•Skilled in prioritizing tasks, adapting to changing priorities, and working effectively under pressure.
