Job Summary
The Contracts Administrator is responsible for managing AFD Petroleum Ltd.'s customer, vendor, and business partner contracts and ensuring all parties adhere to the agreed terms and conditions. The Contracts Administrator will work closely with the Management team, along with the public at large, while managing the entire contract cycle, in accordance with international, federal, provincial, and municipal laws and Company policies and procedures. Assessing the risks associated with new and existing contracts and making continuous improvement suggestions are further required to maximize the Company's financial and operational performance.
Essential Functions
•Work with the Executive team in the creation, execution, and analysis of contracts to maximize AFD Petroleum Ltd.'s financial and operational performance.
•Administer and manage all AFD Petroleum Ltd.’s contracts with customers, vendors, and business partners.
•Negotiate contract terms and conditions, documenting any agreed changes and/or amendments.
•Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and business partners.
•Assist in the coordination and acquisition of new and replacement contracts.
•Monitor contract renewal dates and prepare for their replacement or renewal.
•Assess and evaluate the risks associated with new and existing contracts.
•Work with the management team and submit for approval contract management policies, procedures, and processes.
•Research and recommend best practices and contract process improvements.
•Other related duties as required or assigned.
Other key skills (or product knowledge)
•Experience in the oil and gas industry is considered an asset.
•Knowledge of business organization and practices
•Advanced knowledge of MS Office and Excel
•Professional written and verbal communication skills
Experience
3+ years’ experience in a contract administrative role
Education
Post-Secondary Diploma in Business Management, Administration, or another relevant field
