Continuous Improvement Technician

JOB SUMMARY

The Continuous Improvement Technician will assist in providing improvements in all areas of the mine which include, but not limited to: improvement solutions, direct charge parts documentation and analyzation, presentation, appearances within shop areas, and assistance with special projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Meet the physical demands of the position as described in the Physical Demands Analysis.

- Regular and predictable attendance.

- Communicate with supervisors and managers on project details and results.

- Ability to operate various pieces of mine equipment.

- Active participant in the team process.

- Work 10-hour day shifts.

- Attend team meetings both on and off shift.

- Maintain safe work environment and practices.

- Develop relationships conducive to superior performance.

- Keep Areas/Jobs organized.

- Develop shop tooling organizational system for easy access

- Keep log of ongoing projects and progress

- Parts organization throughout mine

- Unloading/loading parts and materials

- Help manage Incoming overflow of direct charge parts

- Quarterly inventory of direct charge storage

- Collection of parts after jobs, inventory, and store

- Flexible in the constant changing of duties throughout the day

- Operate necessary equipment

- Area cleanup of new projects

- Help shovel snow and put down ice melt if needed

- Other tasks or projects as assigned.

- Comply with company drug and alcohol policy.
