The Central Maintenance Department is looking for a Construction Supervisor for Underground Transmission Projects to join their team in Miami, FL.
The selected candidate for this role will be responsible for:
- Oversight of construction contractors for underground transmission cable systems and existing transmission line rebuild/reconductor projects
- Facilitate the execution of projects through coordination of clearance planning and OSM (outage system) requests
- Contingency plan development and risk assessment
- Material management (BOM, ROS, MRM) and collaboration with vendor contractors and ISC to maintain necessary materials for project
- Reviewing project for constructability issues to reduce cost and inefficiencies
- Ensuring completion and accuracy of project deliverables including but not limited As-Built documents, and project controls/invoicing, and systems updates (Falcon, Elements, AMP, PUR, SAP, FAC-008)
- Assist with work scope development, philosophy document considerations, and participate in engineer walkdowns to ensure construction feasibility is obtained in the design.
- Support interface procedures with PGD, E&C, and Co-op entities during major projects
- Coordinate and oversee implementation of mobile equipment in support of major projects
Employees in this position are responsible for the direct leadership of personnel associated with construction activities within the transmission/substation group. In this role employees oversee the safety of direct employees and contracted workforce and ensures that reliability of the system is maintained during construction activities.
- Provides direct supervision of Construction Leads
- Collaborates with Construction Lead(s), Area Operations, Engineering and other departments to resolve project conflicts, generates work scope, timetables and resource estimation
- Coordinates and supervises emergency response events
- Mentors and trains of new employees and contract personnel
- Provides direct oversight of complex projects
- Coordinates and oversees emergency response activities
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
