Construction Superintendent

Brockwell & Carrington Contractors, Inc. is seeking a full-time Construction Superintendent with 10+ years’ experience in the public work sector of General Contracting. This job is specifically located at a Psychiatric Hospital in Secaucus, NJ.

Experience must include running at least 3-4 “ground up” public projects in the 15 plus million-dollar range, in New Jersey

Required Skills:

· Ability to read and understand contract documents, including Architectural, Structural, Civil, and MEP drawings.

· Strong written correspondence skills: ability to generate RFIs, complete daily reports, construction logs, and communicate via email is a must.

· Working knowledge of CPM schedules required, and ability to provide update information to CPM scheduling consultant.

· Working knowledge of excel is helpful.

· Masonry or Carpentry background is a highly preferred.

· Taking daily progress photos and filing them accordingly

· Active participation in coordination with subcontractors

· Ability to professionally interact with Owner, subcontractors, and trade unions.

· Oversight of coordination between trades

· Toolbox Talks

· General knowledge of safe construction practices and ability to enforce them.

· Quality assurance and control

Salary: From $115,000.00 per year. Salary commensurate with experience.
