Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to support high-visibility work for a Client supporting reconfiguration and demolition activities. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in nuclear operations, general construction, remediation, or relevant technical trades, including those from DOE, oil & gas, or Navy Nuclear backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities:
•Responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating and managing the project activities of assigned projects.
•Provide direction to project teams and/or group leaders to achieve project related activities.
•Monitor project performance against budget, overall progress against schedule, identify other deviations from project plan and implement corrective action(s).
•Provide project and/or group personnel administration, assign personnel for key project positions and approve appointment of others.
•Provide input to, and approval of project budgets and schedules.
•Participate in division policy planning and development.
•Frequently contribute to the development of new theories and methods.
•Develop resolutions to complex problems that require the frequent use of creativity and where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
•Work is accomplished without considerable direction.
•May coordinate activities of other personnel.
•Exert significant latitude in determining objectives of assignment, and determine the methods and procedures needed for new assignments.
•Responsible for managing, coordinating, and administering small, complex, multi-function projects or studies that involve a single business line.
Required Qualifications:
•Position requires thorough knowledge of all aspects of project management tools and techniques relating to all project activities.
•Has experience in various project management activities such as planning, budgeting and performance measurement.
•Basic knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) tools and processes.
•Need ability to obtain Q clearance and HRP.
•Possesses wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and Laboratory objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
•Position typically requires a recognized degree in an engineering or scientific discipline, or specialized courses in project management, and/or fifteen (15) years’ experience in two or more of the following functions:
+ Project management, engineering, construction, project controls and procurement work leading to a thorough understanding of the knowledge described above, or any combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Highly prefer Nuclear, general construction, or remediation experience, DOE, oil/gas, Navy Nuclear with tech experience.
•Prefer recent or active Q clearance.
Salary and Benefits Information:
Expected Salary Range: $175k - $245k / year (depending on experience)
