Position Summary:
This position’s responsibilities are to perform the lifecycle processes of project management: Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring & Controlling, and Closing of the project. In addition, warehouse procurement and administrative tasks are required to support the focus of work in Southern California. This position is critical in ensuring the timely, safe, and cost-effective execution of our construction jobs, specifically
related to cathodic protection, corrosion control, and pipeline projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:•Team Leadership: Direct and manage field employees involved in construction activities, providing daily oversight and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
•Coordination and Scheduling: Oversee the scheduling of field personnel and resources, ensuring efficient allocation across multiple project sites.
•Client & Stakeholder Management: Maintain excellent communication with clients and stakeholders, including participation in weekly status meetings and ongoing project updates.
•Risk Management & Compliance: Perform risk assessments and ensure project compliance with industry standards, including OQ certification and equipment calibration.
•Cost Management: Monitor project operational costs, approve employee dailies, manage invoicing, and ensure financial controls are adhered to.
•Procurement and Logistics: Manage the procurement of construction materials, ensuring timely delivery and proper storage, and oversee warehouse operations with forklift use.
•Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed project documentation and provide regular updates to both clients and internal management, ensuring transparency and accountability
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities
Education and Experience:•Minimum 4 years of relevant project management experience in the oil and gas or construction industries required.
•Familiarity with cathodic protection, corrosion control, or pipeline construction is highly preferred
•Construction management, or a related field is preferred but not required.
•Project Management Institute certifications not required, but preferred (CAPM, PMP, PMI-ACP).
•Cathodic Protection certification not required, but preferred (CP 1-4, CIP 1-3, AMPP Certifications).
•Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record per insurance requirements
Knowledge/ Skills /Abilities:
•Knowledge of project management processes – Inputs, Tools, Techniques, and Outputs
•Knowledge of cathodic protection testing, survey, and asset integrity.
•Knowledge of 49 CFR 192 & 195
•Utilization of Microsoft Suites
•Ability to plan, participate and conduct project meetings and trainings.
•Excellent communication with stakeholders
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
•Regular use of hands and fingers to operate specialized equipment and tools; reaching overhead above the shoulders and horizontally; bending at the waist; standing and or walking for extended periods of time; hearing and speaking to exchange information; carrying 3-5 lb. electronic locating equipment for extended periods of time; lifting objects up to 50 pounds or lifting in excess of 50 lbs. with tool aids.
•Approximately 90% of the work may be performed in an office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit, stand, walk, twist, and squat. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
•The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
•Use of a company vehicle to travel may be warranted. The employee must be able to pass a driving test and safely operate a pickup truck.
•This position may require some travel.
