Construction Manager

OVERVIEWAmerican Battery Technology Company (ABTC) is an industry-leading battery metal and critical materials technology development and commercialization company. Our commercial demonstration plant in McCarran, Nevada will be the first integrated implementation of our multi-step processing train for the full mechanical processing, physical separations, chemical extractions, and production of commercial-scale battery metals that will be resold back into the battery manufacturing supply chain to enact a low-cost, low environmental impact, and domestically sourced closed-loop circular economy. ABOUT THE JOB

As a Construction Manager, you will lead and own all facets of construction projects from scoping, subcontractor management, work planning and oversight of budgets, and will drive the construction phase from constructability design reviews through to handoff into operations for our proprietary lithium-ion battery recycling processes and primary extraction technologies. You will work closely with our executive team, our engineering organization, our procurement team, our program management team, our plant operations team, and various external stakeholders to ensure the successful deployment of technologies and manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate is familiar with the design, installation, commissioning, and operations of first-of-kind facilities, and should be passionate about designing, implementing, and maintaining efficient manufacturing processes, ensuring quality control of outputs, specifying equipment, crafting and deploying monitoring protocols, and working in a high-performance and fast-paced environment. This person will be a problem-solver and have a keen interest in scaling processes proven at the bench-scale up to pilot, pre-commercial, or commercial scales. This includes a constant focus on evaluating current processes and proposing and developing solutions in order to continuously improve our team’s performance. This position will report to the Sr. Director of Technical Programs.
