We are looking for an Construction Manager to oversee large-scale renewable energy projects, including Solar and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects through construction and into operations. This role requires strong leadership, efficient management, and a focus on delivering projects on time and within budget, while maintaining high-quality standards.
Responsibilities
Project Oversight
•Monitor daily progress and flag delays; provide regular updates to Company.
•Ensure work meets design specs and quality standards.
•Conduct routine site inspections for proper installation.
Safety Management
•Enforce OSHA, company, and site-specific safety protocols.
•Lead daily safety briefings and toolbox talks.
•Respond to incidents, report issues, and manage site access security.
Resource Management
•Track material deliveries and inventory; report shortages.
•Oversee equipment use, maintenance, and safety compliance.
Coordination & Communication
•Supervise workers, subcontractors, and site personnel.
•Communicate with stakeholders to address progress and challenges.
•Coordinate schedules to optimize labor and resources.
Environmental Compliance
•Manage site waste, erosion control, and environmental impact.
•Ensure work aligns with all required permits and regulations.
Reporting & Documentation
•Maintain daily logs on activities, weather, incidents, and delays.
•Submit regular progress and compliance reports.
Problem Solving
•Resolve team conflicts and issues with contractors or neighbors.
•Troubleshoot technical problems and site delays.
Training & Mentorship
•Train new workers on safety and procedures.
•Support skill development among on-site personnel.
Experience:
•5-10 years of experience with 2+ years of experience managing utility-scale solar energy construction projects.
•Strong knowledge of renewable project construction.
•Proficiency with Procore, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project.
•Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
•Willingness to be based on site with monthly home rotations.
•Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
