Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Field Manager for projects in Southwest Michigan.

Basic Duties & Responsibilities

The Construction Field Manager will serve as the lead on-site representative for project management. Key responsibilities include:

•

Conducting daily inspections to ensure quality, schedule adherence, and compliance with safety regulations.

•

Maintaining communication and correspondence among all stakeholders, including contractors, owners, and architects.

•

Supporting the Project Manager and other team members with cost control, contractor quotes, change orders, and payment approvals.

•

Acting as a liaison between contractors, architects, and project owners.

•

Create and manage construction schedules.

•

Review, process and coordinate project submittals.

•

Schedule and conduct pre-construction, construction and punch list meetings.

•

Maintain and enforce project site safety.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

•

A minimum of 5 years of experience managing multiple trades on large, complex projects (preferably educational) valued up to $25 million.

•

Have a thorough knowledge of construction drawings and specifications.

•

Have a strong knowledge of a variety of construction trades.

•

Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

•

Willingness to participate in a team-focused environment.
