Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Field Manager for projects in Southwest Michigan.
Basic Duties & Responsibilities
The Construction Field Manager will serve as the lead on-site representative for project management. Key responsibilities include:
•Conducting daily inspections to ensure quality, schedule adherence, and compliance with safety regulations.
•Maintaining communication and correspondence among all stakeholders, including contractors, owners, and architects.
•Supporting the Project Manager and other team members with cost control, contractor quotes, change orders, and payment approvals.
•Acting as a liaison between contractors, architects, and project owners.
•Create and manage construction schedules.
•Review, process and coordinate project submittals.
•Schedule and conduct pre-construction, construction and punch list meetings.
•Maintain and enforce project site safety.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
•A minimum of 5 years of experience managing multiple trades on large, complex projects (preferably educational) valued up to $25 million.
•Have a thorough knowledge of construction drawings and specifications.
•Have a strong knowledge of a variety of construction trades.
•Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.
•Willingness to participate in a team-focused environment.
