Mission:
The Construction Field Engineer will assist the Project Manager and Project Team in the daily operations of construction projects. This role is essential for ensuring projects run smoothly by supporting administrative tasks, coordinating with different teams, and helping maintain project documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
•Submittal Support: Assist in the preparation, review, and coordination of commodity submittals to ensure timely submission and compliance with project requirements.
•Scheduling: Perform schedule updates as directed, maintain records within project folders and Procore, and distribute updates to internal team members and sub-tier contractors.
•Progress Drawings: Using A-C’s standard progress drawings methodology, work with the Field to keep drawings updated and available through Procore.
•Quality Assurance / Quality Control: Conduct QA/QC inspections on installed materials as directed by the Project Manager or Project Team. Capture and organize photo documentation within Procore.
•Production Tracking: May assist with monitoring installed materials against daily progress updates and drawing revisions to ensure accuracy and completeness
Additional Job Duties:
•Document Review: Review project plans and specifications to identify and report inconsistencies or potential issues to the Project Team.
•Closeout Documentation: Support the preparation of project closeout packages and final reports, ensuring all files are accurate, complete, and well-organized.
•Attend Project Meetings: Participate in internal and external meetings to gather updates, report progress, and communicate action items relevant to scheduling, documentation, and field activities.
•Assist with Field Logs and Reports: Keep daily records of site observations, work progress, safety compliance, and manpower on-site, as needed by the Project Manager.
•Assist with Permitting and Inspections: Support the project team in scheduling inspections, managing inspection reports, and tracking required permits throughout the project lifecycle.
•Support Change Management: Help gather documentation for potential change orders, track changes in scope, and assist in logging updates in project control systems.
•Attend Site Walks to stay informed of current progress, assist in quality control, and proactively identify field coordination needs as directed by the project team.
•Ensure Document Control: Maintain up-to-date logs of RFIs, submittals, and drawing revisions to support accurate project execution and compliance tracking.
•Promote Safety Culture: Support the enforcement of safety standards by reporting unsafe conditions, attending safety briefings, and encouraging best practices on-site.
•Contribute to Continuous Improvement: Provide feedback on project workflows and participate in efforts to improve efficiency, quality, and overall project performance.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in construction management, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment in addition to the requirements listed below:
•High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in construction management or a related field is a plus.
•Previous experience in construction or a related role is preferred.
•Basic understanding of construction processes, sequences, and terminology.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PDF) and familiarity with project management software.
•Strong organizational and time-management skills.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work well both independently and within a team.
•A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
Pay Range: $60,000 – $90,000. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
