This position is driving a dump truck for our ROW Construction Division. It requires a Class A CDL drivers license with a clean record for the past three years. There may be additional hauling of equipment between locations and job sites. This position is out of town, 7-11 days out, with our construction crews. As this position is considered 'out of town' it will require travel around Texas and neighboring states. We provide hotel and per diem. We pay overtime for any hours worked over 40 hours per week. We pay weekly. Health, dental, vision, etc benefits are available after 60 days. This is a full time position. This is an excellent company to work for. Come be a part of our team!
Driving a dump truck. Hauling equipment, materials and supplies.
Exercise good customer service when required to Interact with customers.
Keep truck and all associated equipment clean and in good working order.
Manage logs and records as per DOT regulations.
Inspect freight and vehicle for compliance with regulations.
Verifiable previous 2 year driving employment History.
Ability to work with time restraints and deadlines.
The ability to balance multiple tasks, along with strong communication skills is essential.
Must be able to speak, write and communicate effectively in English.
The overall nature of this position requires to be outdoors most of the time, with some physical exertion with physical effort frequently required.
Driver must be able to sit for extended periods of time in a truck/vehicle.
The frequent physical demands of the position are being able to lift 25-50 lbs. Standing, walking, sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, and eye/hand/foot coordination.
The occasional physical demands of the position are talking, hearing and repetitive hand motions.
This position requires more than just driving, some labor work is required.
