Construction Advisor

NSB Omega is looking for a Construction Advisor for our MAJOR Oil & Gas Client in Calgary, AB.
Assignment Description
Key Responsibilities
•
Provide on-site and remote construction oversight to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
•
Support the development and execution of construction plans, schedules, and work packages.
•
Interface with project managers, contractors, and field personnel to coordinate work and resolve issues.
•
Monitor construction progress and report performance metrics to project leadership.
•
Conduct inspections and audits to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies.
•
Review contractor deliverables such as method statements, ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans), and risk assessments.
•
Ensure lessons learned are captured and incorporated into future project planning and execution.
•
Act as a technical advisor on constructability, sequencing, and field execution strategies.
Qualifications
•
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
•
10+ years of relevant construction experience in the oil & gas industry, preferably with both onshore and offshore projects.
•
Strong understanding of industry codes, standards, and best practices.
•
Proven experience managing or advising on large capital construction projects.
•
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
•
Proficient in construction management software and reporting tools.
•
Willingness to travel to project sites and/or work on rotational assignments as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
•
API, PMP, or equivalent construction-related certifications.
•
Experience working in a multicultural and multi-contractor environment.
•
Familiarity with digital construction tools and data-driven decision-making.
