CONCRETE PROJECT MANAGER
POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Manager plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated projects to ensure that goals or objectives of projects set are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the duties listed in this document personally or through subordinate Superintendent. The incumbent will devote his/her energies to best represent the company in the eyes of its clients, managers, employees, suppliers, competitors and general public to maintain and promote the reputation of Axiom Constructors.

We are actively engaged in a variety of diverse projects for commercial, industrial, and governmental customers including apartments, hotels, offices, retail, and warehouses. Our work involves foundations, walls, decks, place and finish, curb and gutter, and slab on grade.

OBJECTIVES
•Develops a project plan (operational plan) as well as project specific safety plan for executing work safely while adhering to the project’s budget.
•Manages Client, Vendor and Subcontractor relationships.
•Ensures all the necessary pre-construction activities, documents and materials are procured prior to the start of each project.
•Tracks project work on a daily basis with Superintendent(s) to ensure labor hours and material/equipment budgets and milestones are met on time.
•Regularly visits the job sites, clients (construction managers), architects and engineers when appropriate and conducts the walk-through.
•Receives from the field change requests, prepares charges and forwards to the Bookkeeper for processing.
•Ensure that materials inventory is sufficient to meet Client needs while remaining within the budgeted guidelines established by the Executive Team and recommends purchase of any equipment, parts, and general inventory.
•Prepares project reports for management, client or others.
•Ensures that all Superintendents are adequately trained to perform the functions of their position.
•Ensures the accuracy and timely submission of approved time, including overtime, vacation and sick time.
•Effectively engages in Continuous improvement efforts.
•From time to time, provides value in estimating, sales and sales meetings.
•Proactive response to job reports converting to C.O. from emails or daily reports.
•Other duties and projects that may be assigned from time to time by the Executive Team.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
An associate degree in Business Administration and/or construction management or equivalent work experience is required.*
A four (4) year Bachelor Civil Engineering or Construction Management from an accredited four (4) year College or University.*
A minimum of five (5) years experience as a Project Manager or Superintendent in a concrete construction company with more than $5 million annually in revenue is required.*
Five (5) or more years as a Project Manager in a concrete construction company with more than $20 million in sales or any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.*
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
•While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and/or walk for long periods of time while completing other duties and responsibilities.
•The employee must have a full range of body movements including the use of his/her hands to finger, handle and feel objects such as a computer equipment, and other office equipment. The ability to bend the body, to reach for objects, and to crouch when needed are also required.
•The employee must have command of all five senses: sight, hearing, touch, smell and taste. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. These vision requirements in each area must be sufficient to shift in focus from computer screens to close forms.
