Community Engagement / GIS Analyst

VN Engineers, Inc. is looking to hire a full-time Community Engagement / GIS Analyst to be part of their Design Team. Responsibilities will include providing transportation planning services for various ConnDOT projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with community engagement, GIS, safety engineering, data analysis, report writing, corridor safety studies, bike/ped studies and traffic impact/operations analyses. Good communication, people and organization skills will be critical factors for this project.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in transportation planning or traffic / safety engineering. Qualified candidates should be knowledgeable of Federal, State and Local design standards including the MUTCD and AASHTO requirements. Familiarity with any of the following programs is a plus: Highway Capacity Software, SYNCHRO / SIMTRAFFIC or CORSIM.
