The Commissioning Specialist to lead and coordinate field execution of commissioning activities across multiple disciplines, including Mechanical, Rotating Machinery, Electrical, Telecoms, and Instrumentation. This role serves as the on-site representative of the company’s Commissioning Authority and plays a critical part in ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence during project execution.
- Lead coordination and oversight of commissioning activities in the field.
- Collaborate with contractors to ensure commissioning requirements are clearly understood and followed.
- Interface with engineering, construction, and quality teams to resolve technical and procedural issues.
- Intervene assertively when unsafe practices or deviations from procedures are observed.
- Represent the company’s Commissioning Authority on-site, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Attend and contribute to post-construction (warranty phase) meetings.
- Assist in the development of systems manuals and commissioning reports.
- Conduct hands-on functional performance testing and analyze system performance using appropriate instrumentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Proven experience in a closely related commissioning or field engineering role.
- Strong technical expertise and hands-on field experience in one or more relevant disciplines.
- Proficient in Work Management Systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Working knowledge of MEP systems and integrated control systems.
- Familiarity with Systems Completion Database software (e.g., WinPCS, MC+, CoConsole, Orbit).- Effective communicator with the ability to clearly describe field conditions and recommend solutions.
- Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills, especially in cross-functional environments.
- Ability to manage tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and shifting priorities.
- Must meet conditional job offer requirements including background check, drug test, MVR, and fit for duty/agility test.
