CNC Turret Operator

GRG DESIGN, INC. is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Turret Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for operating and maintaining a turret punch press to produce precision sheet metal components according to specifications. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, solid documentation practices, and the ability to understand drawings, angles, and materials.

Summary

We are seeking a skilled Turret to join our team at GRG Design, Inc. In this role, you will be responsible for operating CNC machinery to produce precision components that meet our high standards of quality. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring efficient production processes and maintaining our commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities

- Set up and operate Prima Power turret punch press according to work instructions and engineering drawings.

- Load and unload materials and ensure proper alignment and handling of sheet metal.

- Perform quality checks using measurement tools (calipers, protractors, etc.) to ensure parts meet specifications.

- Document production data accurately and maintain logs for traceability.

- Monitor machine operation, detect malfunctions, and report issues to maintenance or supervisors.

- Ensure proper use of materials and supplies, understanding material types and thicknesses.

- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment in compliance with safety policies.

- Enter job and part data into tracking systems or software accurately.

- Follow all company procedures for safety, quality, and production efficiency.

- Strong attention to detail and precision in a fast-paced environment.

- Good documentation and record-keeping skills.

- Understanding of materials and supplies used in punch press operations.

- High situational awareness around machines and moving components.

- Excellent organizational skills to manage tools, materials, and workflow.

- Ability to read and understand degrees of angle and mechanical drawings.

- Clear communication skills to work effectively with team members and supervisors.

- Able to pull, push, and lift up to 50 lbs.

- Comfortable with basic data entry and using production tracking software.

- High school diploma or GED.

- Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings.

- Basic knowledge of CNC controls and setup procedures.

- Forklift certification (a plus).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.09 - $26.00 per hour
