CNC Setup Machinist

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming and machining, with the ability to work with precision measuring instruments and various machining tools. This role is crucial in ensuring the production of high-quality components that meet strict specifications.

Responsibilities

- Operate CNC milling machines and CNC lathes to produce precision parts according to specifications.

- Program CNC machines using Fanuc controls and CAM programming software.

- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining processes.

- Utilize GD&T principles to ensure accurate part dimensions and tolerances.

- Conduct inspections using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify part quality.

- Maintain tooling and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.

- Collaborate with team members in a lean manufacturing environment to improve processes and efficiency.

- Assist in assembly tasks as needed, utilizing hand tools and power tools for various operations.

- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work area.

Requirements

- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with proficiency in CNC programming and operation.

- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot machinery issues.

- Familiarity with SolidWorks, CAD software, a plus

- Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and material requirements.

- Experience with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38.00 - $42.00 per hour
