CNC Plasma Operator/ Machinery Operator

Job Overview

We are seeking an Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a background in operating CNC Plasma Table This role requires precision, attention to detail and the ability to manage a in Stock inventory of Parts that have been Cut using the Plasma Table. Must be able to understand basic sets of Drawings. The Operator will be responsible for producing high-quality components Using Shop forklift to load Aluminum and Steel sheets onto cutting surface and removing Newly Cut parts from Table Cleaning the sharp edges and placing them in the Stock room for Shop use while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

- Operate and monitor CNC Plasma machine.

- Program CNC machines using appropriate software and techniques.

- Read and interpret Basic drawings to determine specifications.

- Conduct quality inspections daily.

- Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.

- Utilize hand tools for assembly and fabrication tasks.

- Collaborate with Shop Foreman to meet production goals and deadlines.

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

- Adhere to safety protocols while operating machinery.

Qualifications

- Proven experience as an Operator is desired or in a similar role within manufacturing.

- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in machining processes.

- Proficient in CNC programming and operation of various machines including press brake machines, Iron worker and plasma cutting equipment.

- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks.

- Experience with sheet metal fabrication is preferred.

- Knowledge of welding techniques is an advantage.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
