We are looking for a CNC Mill/Lathe Machinist that can help us excel in quality, productivity and value. If this sounds like you, please keep reading!
· Setup Hass mills and lathe by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches.
· Load and adjust three-and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices.
· Load, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and work pieces on machines, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
· Measure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.
· Transfer commands from servers to computer numerical control (CNC) modules, using computer network links.
· Enter commands, instructions, or specifications into equipment.
· Listen to machines during operation to detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and adjust machine to compensate for problems.
· Remove accessories, tools, or other parts from equipment.
· Clean machines, tooling, or parts, using solvents or solutions and rags.
· Must be able to work in other areas of the shop as needed.
· Candidate must have a basic understanding of CNC machining.
· Candidate must be able to work with minimal supervision.
· Candidate must have the ability to read blueprints.
· Candidate must be able to work in other areas of the shop as needed.
· Candidate must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
· Work overtime when approved and scheduled by your supervisor.
· 2 years of proven operation of CNC mills.
· Experience with Hass Mills is a plus.
· Experience in uploading and downloading of programs is a plus.
· Experience in Vertical Mills is a plus.
· High school diploma or equivalent. Degree preferred.
· National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) certificate is a plus.
