Essential Functions
•Ability to work overtime with little or no notice
•Advanced knowledge of blueprints and sketch interpretations to ensure proper fit and finish to parts
•Skilled at identifying and measuring appropriate surface finishes
•Use appropriate tools to deburr and sketch parts
•Ability to set basic off-sets and efficient at probes for off-set
•Operate lathe and 3-axis milling machines
•Construct basic machine “G” codes and identify crash moves
•Construct touch off points and set tool lengths
•Advanced knowledge of machining terminology
•Advanced knowledge and practice in the use of precision measurement tools
•Identify and adhere to all HSE policies and practices without prompting
•Experience and practice in submitting Concern Cards for Safety concerns
•Basic knowledge of and practice of 5S
•Knowledge of Lean Methods and practice
•Adept verbal and written communication skills
•History of compliance to company policies and procedures
•Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds
•Diagnose and trouble shoot equipment and process related problems
•Ability to rework damaged parts work under general supervision
•Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Experience / Knowledge
•High School Diploma or equivalent
•Authorized to work in the US
•3 years’ experience in CNC machining or Machining Certificate from accredited Voc/tech
•Machining Certificate from accredited Voc/tech preferred
•Programming knowledge preferred
Work Environment
•Regular exposure to moving mechanical components, airborne fumes, and particles
•Exposure to heat, cold, wet and snow conditions
