Summary/Objective
CNC machinists works with computer numeric controlled (CNC ) heavy machinery from setup to operation to produce parts and tools from metal, plastic or other materials. Computer numeric controlled equipment is precision machinery that cuts, grinds, or drills into the material. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.

•All personal protective equipment (PPE) must be inspected by the employee and worn upon direction of supervisors, managers, and the safety manager. Participate in mandatory safety or PPE training and notify their supervisor when new PPE is necessary.

•Ability to use and interpret measurements of calipers and micrometers.
•Ability to work with blueprints.

Work Environment
•While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes, particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, heat, cold, rain, wind and a variety of other extreme conditions. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to use hands to portion, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and to climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Work Schedule
•This is a full-time position, and the days of work are Monday through Friday. Occasional weekends and/or holidays may be scheduled. Employee may be scheduled to work overtime and be available for emergency overtime when the need arises.
Education and Experience
•High school diploma or GED is preferred.
•Minimum of 2+ years of experience in set-up and operation of CNC Lathe primarily for the threading of API 8rd tubulars.
