Full-time position – Union Represented Non-Exempt

Summary: Growing and dynamic company is looking for full time CNC programmer for a demanding yet rewarding position. You must be highly competent, mechanically resourceful, detail-oriented and an exceptional communicator. Your work will be performed in a shop and office environment. This position requires flexible work hours that require frequent overtime demands during our busy seasons. Most of our work is repair work on large mechanical equipment such as industrial valves and mechanical components with occasional manufacturing of new replacement parts.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Create, test, and troubleshoot CNC programs for CNC lathes and milling machines.

- Collaborate with engineering department to refine 3D models.

- Use software to create and modify 3D models.

- Write programs for maximum efficiency and accuracy.

- Strong understanding of measurement equipment and ability for in-process inspections.

- Be able to set up a CNC machine (dial in vises, touch off tools, set part offsets)

- Document and maintain accurate program files and tool libraries.

- Strong understanding of “Feeds and Speeds” as well as modern tooling and inserts.

- Identify needs for machine maintenance and perform minor repairs as needed.

- Maintain a safe, organized and clean workstation.

- Choosing and loading the correct cutting tools for the job.

- Select appropriate material and assist during material setup.

Physical Responsibilities:

Be able to lift 50 Lbs.

Programmer Qualifications/Skills:

· Strong knowledge of CAD and CAM software.

· Proficient in CNC programming and G-code.

· Experience with precision machinery and manufacturing processes.

· Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

· Ability to read and interpret technical documentation.

Education and/or Experience:

Minimum three years of experience in CNC programming.

Experience working with Mechanical Test Equipment and machine tools.

Formal training from an accredited trade school a plus but not mandatory.

Work ability: Must be able to work in the United States.

Compensation & Hours: $30 - $40 an hour based on experience and skills. We are only looking for full-time individuals. This is NOT a remote position.

Physical Setting:

- Shop setting with occasional exposure to loud noise and chemicals.

Schedule:

- Monday - Friday 0630 AM to 3:00 PM with some weekends and overtime as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
