Machinist
Job Summary
Responsible for setup and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts. Produce small batches or large quantities of metal parts. Ensure products meet precise specifications in a fast pace environment.
Primary Responsibilities
•
Operate machine tools such as lathes, and milling machines to produce parts in a variety of materials
•
Review blueprints or specifications for a job and create setup instructions
•
Set up tooling and tool holding fixtures in Mazak Mills and Lathes
•
Program parts in Mazatrol
•
Coordinate production schedules
•
Provide input for continual improvement activities
Primary Requirements
•
Vocational school or apprenticeship preferred
•
Great verbal and written communication skills
•
Experience in using and/or programming CNC Mills and Lathes
•
Ability to use precision tools (e.g. micrometer & calipers) to take accurate measurements
•
Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals
•
Knowledge of metal properties and other material
•
Outstanding mathematical skills and analytical abilities
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $33.00 per hour
