With minimal supervision, responsible for checking machined parts from blueprints or model, engineering change notices, or established operating procedures to perform a wide range of inspection procedures and determine acceptance or rejection of parts, processing and materials.
- Perform precision inspection verification on machined parts, components, assemblies and materials. May include First Article Inspection, in process and final inspection of parts and materials for workmanship & conformance to specifications and drawings.
- Ability to utilize other inspection equipment such as micrometers, gauge blocks, dial indicators, height gauges, optical comparators, dial calipers and CMM’s.
- Document inspection results.
- Communicates with machine operators & supervisors to resolve inspection, engineering and manufacturing challenges.
- Interpret blueprints and all relevant specification sheets necessary to confirm conformity.
- Obtain necessary fixtures, gauges, and indicators to check machine parts for compliance with specifications and prescribed tolerances.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of relevant experience, related discipline or technical training courses may offset some or all experience requirement.
- Must be familiar with MS Office, able to prepare spreadsheets and inspection reports.
- Blue print reading and strong understanding of GD&T.
- Enthusiastic, energy, sense of urgency, with a track record of setting goals and achieving them is required.
- Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills with leadership and growth potential required.
- Familiar with ISO9001.
- Programable CMM experience, knowledge in Verisurf is a plus.
Experience: Quality Inspection: 2 years inspection experience preferred, Programable CMM experience preferred.
