CNC Department Manager

We are seeking a hands-on, experienced CNC Department Manager to lead and manage our CNC machining operations. This individual will be responsible for the setup of vertical, horizontal, and lathe CNC machines, programming with Mastercam, quoting jobs, procuring materials and tooling, and managing a team of seven machinists to ensure efficiency, quality, and timely production.

Key Responsibilities:

-Lead and manage a 7-person CNC department

-Set up and operate vertical, horizontal, and lathe CNC machines

-Program parts using Mastercam to ensure precision and efficiency

-Generate job quotes, working closely with estimating and engineering teams

-Procure all required materials and tooling for current and future jobs

-Monitor workflow and prioritize tasks to meet production deadlines

-Oversee training, development, and performance of CNC team members

-Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and maintenance schedules

-Collaborate with other departments to support product launches and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

-Minimum 7 years of CNC machining experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role

-Proficient in Mastercam programming for multi-axis CNC machines

-Strong knowledge of vertical, horizontal, and lathe machine setup

-Experience with quoting and cost estimation for CNC jobs

-Solid understanding of material types and tooling applications

-Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate a team

-Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

-Must be hands-on and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
