Tulsa Oil Tool Manufacturing Company is looking for a programmer. This position must know how to program and translate design specifications into precise machine instructions for both CNC lathes and mills. Must be proficient in analyzing Prints, engineering drawings, and Inventor models to develop efficient machining programs, selecting tools, cutting paths, and machining sequences. The Programmer will also monitor and troubleshoot machine operations, all the while adjusting parameters to maintain quality standards.
Key qualifications and duties of this manufacturing programmer position, include:
This involves translating design specifications into machine-readable instructions (G-code).
Understanding blueprints, engineering drawings, and Autodesk Inventor 25 models to determine machining requirements.
Selecting the appropriate tools for the job, considering factors like material, cutting speed, and feed rate.
Optimizing parameters like speed, feed, and coolant flow for efficient and accurate machining.
Addressing issues that arise during the manufacturing process, including machine malfunctions and programming errors. Spearheading repairs with vendors and communicating costs with management
Performing checks to ensure that parts meet design specifications and quality standards.
Keeping track of tool specifications, tool life, and maintenance records. Purchase tooling according to minimum and maximum standards.
Modifying existing programs to suit different machines or production environments.
Collaborating with engineers, production staff, and others to ensure efficient and effective manufacturing.
