PAL-CON, Ltd. is accepting applications for a CLEANER to perform GENERAL HOUSEKEEPING tasks as required at our Stephenville, Texas, facility. This position performs a variety of janitorial tasks in support of plant operations such as multiple bathrooms, multiple offices, various common areas and breakrooms, and some shop cleaning. Must be able to operate brooms, mops, and vacuums; must be familiar with using a variety of cleaning solutions; must be able to manage time, work effectively and efficiently, and accommodate requests/scheduling conflicts.
● Candidates must be reliable, flexible, honest, and able to pass a drug test.
● Commercial/Industrial cleaning experience in a fabrication/manufacturing facility is preferred.
● The use of safety equipment such as safety footwear, bump caps, safety glasses, and gloves is required.
● Observe facility standards of sanitation and safety in cleaning procedures.
● Maintain and clean all floor surfaces; including, but limited to, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, sanitizing, and vacuuming.
● Dust, wash, and/or polish surfaces (desks, counters, tables, chairs, etc.) as appropriate.
● Collect and dispose of shredded paper and trash; transport it to the designated location.
● Follow procedures for the proper use and care of chemical cleaners, cleaning supplies, equipment, and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and other objects.
● Clean windows, glass, and mirrors using appropriate cleaners and equipment.
● Clean, disinfect, monitor, and maintain restrooms, common areas, breakrooms, and offices throughout the facility.
● Stock necessary cleaning and paper supplies in janitor’s closets; refill/replace paper towels, soap, and other materials in restrooms to have them available for use.
● Create and follow a general housekeeping schedule to accommodate breaks and meal times.
● May be required to perform additional or alternate duties from time to time to address business needs/changes in business practices.
● Must be 18 years of age or older
