Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. This role requires excellent communication skills, mechanical knowledge, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism on the road.
Responsibilities
•
Operate and drive heavy trucks to transport goods over long distances.
•
Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
•
Ensure that freight is loaded and secured properly for safe transport.
•
Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery schedules.
•
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding route changes or issues.
•
Utilize mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance and repairs on the truck as needed.
•
Operate forklifts for loading and unloading freight when required.
•
Follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure the safe delivery of goods.
Skills
•
Strong communication skills to interact with team members, clients, and dispatchers effectively.
•
Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues and performing routine maintenance.
•
Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
•
Familiarity with freight handling procedures and best practices for secure transport.
•
Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently in various environments.
•
Strong organizational skills for managing delivery schedules and maintaining accurate records.
•
Capability to handle moving freight in various conditions while ensuring safety standards are met.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
