Position: Claims Specialist
We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Claims Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing precise and comprehensive construction project estimates—detailed enough to be used in legal proceedings, if required. You will also work closely with insurance companies to secure claim approvals and assist both homeowners and contractors in navigating the insurance claims process from start to finish.
Duties
Additional Responsibilities:
•Review and process insurance claims for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
•Utilize Buildertrend CRM software to manage claim status, documentation, and workflow efficiently.
•Maintain thorough and accurate records to support insurance compliance and enhance overall customer satisfaction.
•Collaborate closely with internal teams to support collective success and ensure smooth claim progression.
•Provide clerical support as needed, including organizing, filing, and maintaining claim-related documentation.
Qualifications.
•Proficient computer skills, including the ability to learn and navigate industry-specific software platforms (e.g., Buildertrend, Microsoft Office Suite).
•Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable speaking on the phone and explaining complex information clearly.
•Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
•Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, especially when managing documentation and records.
•Self-motivated with strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to tasks.
•Ability to prioritize and manage multiple claims or projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
•Customer service mindset with the ability to remain calm and professional in challenging or stressful situations.
•Previous experience in construction, insurance claims, or administrative support is preferred.
•Familiarity with Builder Trend or similar CRM/project management software is a plus.
•(Not required) Experience with Xactimate or similar estimating software is highly desirable.
