Civil Engineer Intern

At ACCIONA Energía, we’re looking for a Civil Engineering Intern to join our team and support the development and construction of renewable energy projects. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced engineers on real-world projects, from design reviews to cost estimation, while gaining hands-on experience in the renewable energy industry.

- Support civil and structural engineering contractors on renewable energy facility designs (review drawings, specifications, and RFIs).

- Provide consulting support to project managers on site risk assessments, road layouts, and foundation designs.

- Review engineering reports to ensure compliance with ACCIONA standards.

- Contribute to the development and updates of civil specifications and technical requirements.

- Assist with cost estimates and forecasting for projects in early development stages.

- Support the Construction Team with RFP preparation and contractor evaluations.

Required Skills And Competencies

- Currently enrolled in a B.S. program in Civil Engineering or a related field.

- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, eager to learn from experienced engineers.

- Proficiency with MS Office and general computer literacy.

- A collaborative team player who can also work independently.

- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 20%.

Interns will work 40 hours a week, on-site in the Chicago office.
