This internship opportunity is designed for students pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering. The intern will support STAR Turbine’s engineering and manufacturing teams by assisting in equipment and process improvement projects. Responsibilities include collecting and analyzing production data, recording process and machine cycle times, and verifying production rates for turbine rings made from various materials. The intern will gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment and contribute to decision-making processes that enhance operational efficiency.
- Assist engineers and manufacturing management in collecting and analyzing production data.
- Record process times and machine cycle times for turbine rings of various materials.
- Support equipment and process improvement initiatives.
- Verify and document production rates and performance metrics.
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to brainstorming and problem-solving sessions.
- Maintain organized records of observations and findings.
- Other duties as assigned to support engineering and manufacturing operations.

- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
- No prior experience required; coursework or project experience in manufacturing or engineering preferred.
- Familiarity with basic data collection and analysis techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings is a plus.
- Must be able to lift and manipulate 50 pounds occasionally with assistance.
