Basic Purpose
Serves as a strategic partner to executives, responsible for overseeing efficient operations, managing projects, and facilitating communication across the organization. Coordinates initiatives in alignment with organizational goals. Builds and maintains a positive relationship with key external stakeholders including local, state and federal government entities and agencies. Supports the Company’s external relations activities to achieve the organization’s state and local government, legislative, regulatory and operational objectives in Nevada.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborates with executives to develop and prioritize strategic initiatives that align with the organization's goals.
Builds and maintains a positive relationship with local, state and federal government agencies. Interacts with numerous non-governmental organizations that are community stakeholders including clean energy and environmental advocate organizations.
Manages and strengthens contacts with key civic, government, community and business leaders to ensure understanding and support for Company objectives. Supports strategies to promote the organization’s point of view to local, state and federal government officials and staff. Creates and executes strategies to enhance the Company’s public image and brand.
Manages resource allocation for areas of responsibility, including budget and personnel.
Monitors and enforces all compliance requirements for area of responsibility.
Ensures all compliance aspects of position are known and followed; understands and complies with all policies, codes and regulations applicable to position and company.
Essential Education, Skills, and Environment
Education and Work Experience
Bachelors degree from an accredited school in the area of specialty and 10 years of related experience with at least 5 years of policy management experience.
Candidates that do not possess a bachelor’s degree must have a minimum of 14 years of related work experience with at least 5 years of policy management experience.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills
Demonstrated knowledge of:
- Time management, communication, decision-making, presentation, human relations and organizational.
- Communicate with diverse group of internal and external customers.
Equipment and Applications
PCs, word processing, spreadsheet and database software.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
General office environment. No special physical demands required.
