Chief Operating Officer at O3 Energy Corporation will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and strategic growth. Located in the United States, this leadership position is integral to our mission of delivering renewable energy solutions globally.
The COO owns execution. You will lead all day-to-day operations across engineering, procurement, construction (EPC), service and asset management, supply chain, safety and quality, and operational finance. Your job is to deliver projects safely, on budget, and on schedule while building a scalable operating system for growth.
- Build and run an operating plan that aligns pipeline, resources, schedules, and cash flow.
- Lead EPC, Service/AssetCare, PMO, and Supply Chain teams with clear goals and accountability.
- Drive cross-functional alignment with Sales, Finance, and Legal.
- Standardize scoping, estimating, scheduling, and change control.
- Oversee AHJ permitting, interconnection, and utility coordination.
- Optimize subcontractor strategy, self-perform decisions, and field productivity.
- Ensure commissioning, turnover, and closeout are clean and timely.
- Own warranty, O&M, and performance guarantees.
- Stand up or enhance 24/7 monitoring, issue triage, and dispatch.
- Improve fleet availability, response times, and performance ratios.
- Secure bankable equipment at the right cost and lead time.
- Manage vendor qualification, MSAs, frame agreements, and logistics.
- Hedge tariff and trade risks and maintain critical spares.
- Maintain a zero-injury culture and OSHA compliance.
- Implement QA/QC plans, inspections, and punch-list discipline.
- Oversee licensing, bonding, and insurance requirements in all jurisdictions.
- Hire, mentor, and develop high-performing managers and field leaders.
- Clarify roles, RACI, and career paths.
- Improve tools and data integrity across CRM, ERP, scheduling, and reporting.
- Leverage and optimize Zoho CRM and Zoho Suite to integrate sales, operations, and service workflows for greater efficiency and accountability.
- Current-state assessment of pipeline, projects, staffing, and key risks.
- Safety and quality audits on active sites.
- Weekly ops cadence in place.
- Standardized project controls, dashboards, and job reviews.
- Supply chain plan for long-lead items and tariff exposure.
- Service and AssetCare response playbooks live.
- Portfolio schedule and cash forecast locked.
- Clear hiring plan and subcontractor bench.
- Company-wide KPI reporting in production.
- On-time delivery rate ≥ 90%.
- Gross margin variance within ±2 pts of estimate.
- TRIR improvement and zero serious incidents.
- DSO and change-order cycle times materially reduced.
- Service availability ≥ 99% on monitored assets.
- Safety: TRIR, near-miss reporting, corrective actions closed.
- Delivery: schedule adherence, critical path hits, change-order turnaround.
- Financial: job margin at completion, WIP accuracy, DSO, cash conversion.
- Quality: first-pass inspections, punch-list cycle time, warranty rate.
- Service: uptime, response and resolution times, SLA compliance, NPS.- 10+ years leading operations in C&I solar, energy storage, microgrids, electrical contracting, or industrial EPC.
- Proven track record running multi-site project portfolios with strict safety, schedule, and margin targets.
- Strong command of project controls, contracts, and risk management.
- Experience with utilities, interconnection, AHJs, and permitting.
- Working knowledge of federal and state incentives, including ITC and REAP.
- Comfortable with ERP/financial reporting, CRM, scheduling, and monitoring platforms.
- Understanding of Zoho CRM and Zoho Suite is requested.
- Spanish proficiency and Mexico project experience are a plus.
- Bachelor’s in engineering, construction management, business, or similar. MBA or PE is a plus.
