Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks, including dump trucks and tankers, to deliver goods and materials to designated locations. This position requires adherence to all safety regulations and company policies while ensuring timely deliveries.
Duties
•
Operate commercial trucks for the transportation of freight, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
•
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
•
Safely load and unload cargo, utilizing forklifts when necessary, and secure loads to prevent damage during transit.
•
Navigate assigned routes efficiently while maintaining accurate delivery schedules.
•
Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding any delays or issues encountered during deliveries.
•
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours worked and mileage driven.
•
Adhere to safety protocols while operating manual transmission vehicles and refrigerated trailers.
Requirements
•
Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
•
Proven experience in truck driving, particularly in delivery driver roles or commercial driving positions.
•
Familiarity with operating dump trucks, tankers, forklifts, and other heavy machinery is preferred.
•
Strong knowledge of route driving and ability to read maps or use GPS systems effectively.
•
Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading freight.
•
Excellent time management skills with a commitment to punctuality and reliability.
•
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
