Job Summary

Drummond and Sons Pools is seeking a dependable and experienced Equipment Transport Driver to join our construction team. This role involves transporting heavy tractors and hauling materials such as dirt and rock to and from custom swimming pool job sites across the Bay Area. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, vehicle maintenance, and punctual delivery of equipment and materials essential to our build schedules.

Responsibilities

•

Safely transport heavy tractors and equipment to job sites using company trucks and trailers.

•

Haul dirt, rock, and other construction materials to and from excavation and pool construction locations.

•

Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections on company trucks and tractors to ensure optimal performance.

•

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT regulations.

•

Secure loads properly and ensure safe operation during transit.

•

Maintain accurate delivery logs, fuel records, and maintenance logs.

•

Assist with loading and unloading materials when necessary.

•

Communicate with the construction team and project managers to coordinate deliveries and pickups.

•

Follow all local, state, and federal transportation laws and safety guidelines.

Requirements

•

Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), with experience operating trailers carrying heavy equipment.

•

Prior experience driving dump trucks and hauling construction materials.

•

Basic knowledge of diesel engine operation and maintenance preferred.

•

Proven ability to safely operate manual transmission trucks.

•

Strong understanding of Bay Area routes and traffic patterns.

•

Ability to lift 50+ lbs and operate loading equipment safely (e.g., straps, chains, tie-downs).

•

Must be organized, dependable, and capable of working independently.

•

Must pass a background check and drug screening prior to employment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
