CDL-A Driver Job Summary
Red Dot is seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company policies. This role involves ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest standards of safety.
Responsibilities
•
Perform route driving to deliver goods to designated locations in a timely manner.
•
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in safe operating condition.
•
Maintain accurate delivery logs and records of vehicle maintenance.
•
Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while on the road.
•
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
•
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
•
All other responsibilities as designated by management.
Qualifications
•
Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A) with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle being driven.
•
Proven experience as a truck driver with a strong understanding of route driving and delivery processes.
•
Experience operating manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
•
1-2 years of experience with flatbed trailers is preferred.
•
Ability to operate forklifts safely for loading and unloading cargo.
•
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
•
Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
•
Must pass a background check and drug screening as part of the hiring process.
