CDL Class A Driver/Laborer

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial driving and be proficient in operating various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, dump truck, flatbed, and lowboy. The Truck Driver will be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently to designated locations while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. Driver shall be competent in loading and unloading small and large construction equipment as well as securing loads. Driver needs to be willing to jump in and labor with the team as needed when making deliveries or when there is down time on a delivery. Experience in oil field is required.

Responsibilities

- Operate and drive various types of trucks including tractor-trailers flat bed, lowboy, and dump trucks.

- Plan routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with regulations and project schedule.

- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and functionality.

- Load and unload freight as necessary, ensuring proper handling of goods.

- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours.

- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.

- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while on the road.

- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents immediately.

Qualifications

- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.

- Proven experience as a truck driver with knowledge of route driving and equipment transportation.

- Familiarity with operating different types of trucks including flat bed, lowboy, and dump trucks is preferred.

- Strong understanding of traffic laws and regulations related to commercial driving.

- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
