The Role:
The Category Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the expansion and operational excellence of our convenience store and fuel network. This role is responsible for coordinating vendor onboarding, managing new site launch processes, supporting backend system updates, and ensuring seamless communication across vendors, internal teams, and retail sites. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment with strong project coordination skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Vendor & Site Onboarding
•Register and onboard new vendors into internal systems as new RCAs, dealer sites, or corporate sites are added.
•Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor information across all systems.
•Coordinate vendor communications for product listings, pricing, and promotional programs.
New Site Launch Coordination
•Act as the central project coordinator for new site openings, working with vendors, marketing, operations, and merchandising teams.
•Facilitate delivery and deployment of marketing materials, signage, product displays, and equipment.
•Align timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure successful site launches.
System Support & Maintenance
•Coordinate pricing, item file, and vendor data updates in back-end systems (e.g., CStore Office).
•Ensure product information is accurate, complete, and aligned with internal standards.
•Monitor data integrity and resolve discrepancies proactively.
Merchandising & Marketing Support
•Support planogram implementation and seasonal merchandising transitions.
•Assist with executing product promotions and vendor-driven initiatives.
•Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure all sites are equipped with current promotional and branding materials.
Administrative & Reporting Tasks
•Maintain category documentation, launch checklists, and vendor support logs.
•Track new item rollouts, product performance, and provide support for vendor reviews.
•Prepare reports for category and marketing teams as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
•2+ years of experience in retail coordination, project coordination, category support, or vendor management (preferably in C-store, FMCG, or fuel retail).
•Strong project coordination and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
•Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up and time management.
•Proficient in Excel, Office 365, and retail management software (CStore Office experience a plus).
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
•Ability to work cross-functionally with internal departments and external partners.
•Flexible and solution-oriented, with a proactive mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Experience in convenience retail or fuel operations.
•Familiarity with vendor agreements, product listings, and merchandising standards.
•Basic knowledge of category management principles.
