The Cabinet Wrapper is responsible for wrapping with Single Face Cardboard every cabinet that has "Wrap" on the label, for following the Cabinet Wrap Final Quality Standards, and for supporting the team in order to not stop the line, as well as housekeeping tasks.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities
The Cabinet Wrapper is responsible for the overall operation of Leedo's Cabinet Wrapping in the frameless manufacturing operation. The incumbent will become Leedo's expert on all packaging material, make the necessary adjustments for the different materials in adherence with Leedo's quality criteria, and ensure proper execution of preventive maintenance and housekeeping.
•Responsible for staging packaging materials for safety, quality and productivity
•Responsible for the quality of the processed pieces
•Responsible for the preventive maintenance action items performed daily at company standards
•Responsible for completion of daily scheduled work within the scheduled hours
•Responsible for leading by example regarding attendance, PPE use, breaks, and to "drive" compliance in all areas
•Responsible for following all the work center processes.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
•Must be able to perform daily tasks, including lifting large particleboard sheets or parts weighing more than 50 lbs. or more.
•Must be able to read a measuring tape and caliper in metric dimensions.
•Must have a strong sense of urgency in completing assigned daily duties and hourly goals.
•Must have a basic ability to read procedures and labels in English language.
Education and Experience
•Should have a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Will take work experience and proven math, reading, and writing skills in lieu of formal education.
Physical Requirements and/or Working Conditions
•Enclosed but not air-conditioned or heated factory environment. Will include long hours of standing, some heavy lifting, and areas where eye protection, hearing protection, and respirators are required.
