The Buyer II is responsible for the procurement and planning of materials, equipment, parts, supplies, and services necessary to support manufacturing operations. This role ensures that quality, cost, and inventory objectives are met while maintaining production schedules. The Buyer II works closely with Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain teams to support operational efficiency and supplier performance.
This position reports directly to the Supply Chain Manager or designated supervisor.
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned to support supply chain operations.
Ability to push, pull, or lift up to 50 lbs.
Must have a state-issued driver’s license and be eligible to drive a Company vehicle, including ability to meet requirements of Company's Vehicle Use Agreement and Driving Policy.
APICS (Association for Supply Chain Management) or CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) certification.
The Buyer II requires the ability to work in a time sensitive, high visibility role while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor when adversity is encountered. Work is primarily in a climate controlled / office environment with minimal safety / health hazard potential. The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, or walk with occasional lifting (overhead, waist level) from floor, bending and frequent near vision use for reading and use of computer, telephone, and other office equipment.
