Job Overview

Responsible for the purchase of material and services at or below estimate, using procurement processes while maintaining consistency with schedule requirements. Works with estimating, project management to meet budget as well.

Duties

- Process requisitions and issue purchase orders for assigned commodities in compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.

- Review purchase orders, claims, and contracts to ensure conformance with established terms and internal procedures.

- Conduct market research to identify, evaluate, and select best-fit suppliers based on schedule, price, terms/conditions, quality, and performance.

- Source and procure materials and supplies in alignment with production schedules and organizational requirements.

- Negotiate contracts to secure favorable pricing, terms, and conditions while maintaining quality standards.

- Collaborate with production planning teams to ensure timely availability of materials for manufacturing processes.

- Manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock through effective materials management practices.

- Monitor and assess supplier performance, ensuring compliance with quality management standards.

- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to enhance procurement efficiency and supplier collaboration.

Qualifications

- Experience with Odoo not mandatory preferred.

- Knowledge of pipe, valves, and fittings.

- Proven experience in procurement or purchasing roles, preferably within the oil and gas environment. Open to entry level

- Understanding of federal acquisition regulations and contract negotiation techniques.

- Proficiency in production planning and materials management practices.

- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess supplier proposals critically.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective negotiation and relationship building.

- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
