SUMMARY: As a buyer, you will involve the entire Procure to Pay process and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders, including suppliers, sales, production, warehouse & Shipping, R&D, and marketing teams. The role is responsible but note limited to material planning, purchasing and inventory management. The successful candidate can expect to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment and have immediate opportunities to lead challenging supply chain initiatives.
· Process and monitor the purchase orders to ensure the goods are received on time.
· Perform sourcing, liaising and negotiating with new and existing suppliers to improve business performance.
· Ensure contract compliance necessary for the acquisition of materials and services.
· Run MRP and monitor inventory to ensure the stock levels are maintained at the appropriate levels.
· Implement cost reduction measures to achieve target costs for materials, reduce the overall product cost.
· Support SRM processes including qualification, selection, evaluation, development, classification)
· Be actively involved in the product development and manufacturing process as well as implement cost reduction measures (design to cost, target costing, standardization, key data, etc.) to achieve the target costs for materials and reduce the overall material costs by fulfilling the necessary functions.
· Coordinate and plan the work orders with order processing and production team. Work with Production and R&D Team to ensure the BOMs (Bill of Materials) are up to date.
· Select and evaluate supplier performance according to Accuenergy supplier KPI metrics.
· Process order fulfillment or inventory associated tasks if required.
