Job Objective:
Responsible for the support of daily operations that promote efficient operations to achieve branch and corporate goals while satisfying the needs of the customer in an efficient and courteous manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
In addition to the essential job functions described below, all associates will perform duties requested by management. Assigned responsibilities and duties may vary based upon location size and operation.
- Assisting in daily business operational tasks with ability to problem solve
- Ability to train new hires and/or current employees on new process improvements & software
- Capability of dealing with change management
- Implementing & managing all current and/or new operational processes for blending business (RSL) and distribution business (RLD)
- Working on daily projects & initiatives to drive higher EBITA to Sales conversion by focusing on operational efficiencies & improvements
- Promote and support the development of effective communication between warehouse and sales team
- Manage current project list and/or associates to meet requested deadline
- Manage performance & usage of RelaDyne's Truck Sequencing Tool (Routing tool)
- Assist warehouse/routing manager with efficiently designating customer delivery zones
- Analyze & upkeep RelaDyne Chicago's delivery cost per stop/mile/hour
- Ability to run Cost-Benefit analysis on outreached customer locations & delivery zones
- Ensure correct process is followed for creation of shipping batches
- Manage and maintain Chicago's fee structure related to market competition
- Assist in reporting and review all daily processes are handled accurately & timely
- Review daily Gross Profit report to ensure efficient deliveries were made
- Analyze current operations inside and outside of network to improve branches overall efficiencies
- Review Branch Performance Review (BPR) daily
- Promote and support the development of effective communication between warehouse and sales teams
- Work closely with RelaDyne Specialty Lubricant (RSL) manager on streamline processes, inventory management, & production on the Custom Blending department
- Analyze branches ROI on loan equipment profitability
- Assist management in developing and communicating overall sales and market strategy utilizing an asset management approach through data analysis
- Understand and support development of relationships with key vendors
- Identify new product and business opportunities based on customer needs on an ongoing basis
- Support in the integration and prioritization corporate programs and initiatives into branch operations
- Completion and follow-up of expense/operating budget Purchasing/Inventory
- Maintain efficient inventory stock levels & reorder points with all locations
- Maintain& improve inventory Rack/Row/Bin system * Review negative item report daily- Monitor branches Days In Inventory (DII)
- Work closely with accounting on resolving high value variances in inventory
- Review and process Direct Purchase Orders
- Act as a point of contact with purchasing and communicate with Purchasing Agent or Shared Purchasing Centers (SPC) on product needs and potential product shortages
- Facilitate disposal of all surplus/ defective returns Other
- Ability to develop/document, present, implement, and train branch on new processes
- High involvement with maintaining clean data in the system
- Review end of month close performance to budget with management team
- Communicate openly and effectively with other associates to provide them with necessary functional reporting and information
- Represent the company in a professional manner at all times ensuring quality customer service
- Abide by and enforce all policies, rules, and regulations of the company including all applicable safety rules, regulations and procedures
- Support corporate programs, goals, and initiatives of the company
- Work overtime as needed * Assist in conducting physical inventories- Maintain communication with associates regarding budget and other important company information during monthly meetings
- Visit of satellite locations to ensure understanding and compliance with all Operational, Sales, and Management policies and Best Practices
- Excellent reporting skills in Microsoft Excel & PowerBI (is a plus) (i.e. Pivot Tables, Power Queries, PowerBI modeling)
- Microsoft Office Suite experience (Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Visio, etc.)
- Sage 100 (DM2) experience/knowledge is a plus
