The Technology Intake and Delivery team focusses on the strategic plan for technology delivery across ATCO, including business plan, regulatory submissions, project discovery and approvals. This requires an end to end understanding of business processes, system processes, and current pain points. We are currently recruiting two Business Analysts to join our team.
Reporting to the Supervisor of Technology Intake, the Business Analyst will analyze business needs and support the creation of strategic short- and long-term plans for technological improvements and implementations. This position will work closely with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence. Project intake, prioritization, and planning will include regular stakeholder workshops to develop a strong understanding of the pressure points and priorities that will influence recommendations.
Responsibilities:
+ Understand technology needs across ATCO. + Intake project opportunities and assess benefits, strategic alignment and priority. + Support and refine short (1 year) and long term (7 year) technology roadmaps.
+ Work with business to identify, understand and document business processes. + Prepare recommendations regarding project scope, schedule, estimate, and success metrics. + Understand business goals, objectives, and project value to effectively work with subject matter experts and business users to identify, document, and prioritize business requirements. + Collaborate with technical resources for inclusion and documentation of non-functional requirements.
+ Support business case development. + Initiate project landing page and support handoff to project teams.
+ Work with business and 3rd party experts to understand, assess and document the future state target operating model and business processes. + Understand the differences between current and future state to support business transformation. + Understand and validate proposed project solution against requirements. + Define and document use cases. + Support business testing of projects solution.
