Position Summary
The BOP Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations at the Appalachia facility, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance across well control equipment, torque and test services, and ancillary equipment. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and technical skills to manage personnel, maintain equipment, and coordinate operational activities in alignment with business goals. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of industry standards, equipment maintenance, and logistics to optimize performance, reliability, and profitability.

Key Duties
Reinforce and cultivate a culture of safety, compliance, and operational excellence within the assigned shop(s)
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws, as well as company policies (HSE, QMS-API Q2), and immediately address lapses in compliance
Coordinate with business development and operations teams to ensure equipment availability for upcoming jobs
Manage the electronic tracking and accountability of all company-owned assets
Oversee personnel performing preventative maintenance, testing, and repairs on ancillary equipment, providing direction to ensure tasks align with business objectives
Review daily work orders and maintenance schedules to ensure all tasks are planned, executed, and documented accurately
Maintain traceability, preventative maintenance records, and certifications for all equipment per company requirements
Track inventory of critical spare parts and consumables to ensure availability
Coordinate logistics for equipment mobilization in and out of the basin with DWS dispatch and field personnel
Interface with equipment manufacturers for outsourced repairs, technical support, and product improvements to meet OEM standards
Manage departmental profit and loss, including labor, repair, and maintenance costs
Maintain familiarity with BOPE standards (API 53, API 16A, API 6A, API 16D) and OEM recommendations
Perform additional projects as assigned by management
Position Qualifications
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or GED required
Minimum 4 years’ experience working with or managing oilfield equipment including BOPs, accumulators, power swivels, top drives, reverse units, and intermediate to advanced hydraulic equipment
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, electronic maintenance platforms (e.g., SAP), and expense applications
Other Requirements
Meet minimum driving record qualifications for company insurance purposes
Successfully pass a pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen

Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple projects and tasks
