The Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and operational
management of the natural gas cooperative. This includes overseeing daily operations,
financial performance, staff supervision, member relations, and infrastructure maintenance.
The Manager will ensure compliance with regulatory standards and promote the
- Collaborate with the Board of Directors to develop and implement strategic plans.
- Provide regular reports and updates to the Board on operations, finances, and
- Ensure regulatory compliance with provincial regulations and cooperative policies.
- Oversee the maintenance and expansion of gas distribution infrastructure.
- Lead day-to day operations of the cooperative.
- Manage emergency response protocols and ensure safety standards are met.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
- Monitor financial performance and ensure fiscal responsibility.
- Supervise and support staff, including hiring, training, and performance
- Foster a positive and safe work environment.

Industry Knowledge – Familiarity with natural gas operations and legal requirements
within Alberta’s rural utility sector is highly beneficial.
Post-secondary education in business, engineering, or a related field would be
Minimum 3 years of experience in utility or infrastructure management.
Familiarity with Alberta’s Rural Gas Program and related regulations.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the service area.
