This role requires a strong understanding of quarry operations, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and environmental standards. The Autonomous/Quarry Manager leads and drives a progressive approach to safety by sustaining or enhancing local practices, processes, tools, and training programs needed to ensure total effectiveness withing the Quarry team.
Key responsibilities include:
•Production Management: Oversee all aspects of quarry production, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating daily operations to meet production targets.
•Autonomous Truck Integration: Implement and manage the use of autonomous trucks within the quarry, ensuring seamless integration with existing operations and maximizing efficiency.
•Safety Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with health and safety regulations, conducting regular safety audits and training sessions for staff.
•Quality Control: Monitor product quality and implement quality control measures to maintain high standards.
•Budget Management: Develop and manage the quarry's budget, controlling costs and optimizing resource allocation.
•Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of quarry workers, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
•Environmental Management: Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and implement sustainable practices within the quarry.
•Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on production, safety, and financial performance to senior management.
The Autonomous/Quarry Manager directly supervises the Quarry hourly personnel with responsibility for overall management to achieve agreed goals. Must interpret policies, procedures and goals of the organization for subordinates. Responsible for subordinates' overall performance.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
•Minimum of 5 years of experience in quarry management or a similar role.
•Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
•Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
•Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
•Proficiency in relevant software applications.
Preferred Skills:
•Experience with advanced quarry management software.
•Experience with autonomous truck technology and its application in quarry operations.
•Knowledge of sustainable mining practices.
Knowledge:
